See you later Mom...

Today was Zach's first day of Kindergarten. He was awake and dressed, his bed made and ready to go when he woke me up at 6:45 am. You think he was excited to go to school?! What happened to my baby boy?! We had breakfast which he wouldn't finish because he thought we were going to be late. So, I took him to school and walked him to his class and he never looked back.
He gave me a kiss and hug and pretty much said "bye, see you later Mom, love you." And that was that. I had to leave him and just walk away. No biggie...except the fact that I am now the mother of a kindergartener! I can't believe how fast the years have just flown by! I am very excited to start the school thing though and watch Zach learn and grow and become the big boy of our family. He is such a big kid now and he is extremely excited to be in Kindergarten at the "big school". Let's just hope the excitement stays as he gets older!

After I picked him up from Kindergarten today and asked him how it was and what he did, the first thing he remembered was, " we got to play on the playground outside!" Well, I guess we gotta start somewhere...why am I not surprised that Recess was his favorite part!?

Family trip to Houston- July 2009

My 10 year high school reunion was planned for this month on the 18th and we decided to make a family trip of it. Mark and I figured it was time to take the kids to Texas so they could spend some time with their Mema and Grandpa, Aunt Kelli and Uncle Shaun and cousins Alexa and Michael. We braved the 4-5 hour airplane ride with 3 kids and they actually did surprisingly well. We had a fun and eventful week long trip! I have the pictures to prove it! Be warned...there are a lot of pictures!

At our class reunion- My long time best friend, Becca. We've been friends for 20 years!!

Fun at Palm Beach in Galveston. We met my friend Becca and her little guy Cooper there along with our sisters and Mema and Becca's mom. Fun times! The kids had a blast.

Madelyn loved the sand and water! I didn't get too many pics of this trip but these prove we were there! haha!

Fun in Grandpa's new truck!!

Kali and Alexa are about 3 months apart in age. Best Cousins who love their fancy princess pj's from Mema!

Family bowling night with Grandpa's work. Who can pass up all-you-can bowl, all -you-can drink soda's and all-you-can-eat pizza?!! We all had a blast bowling and I think Grandpa had the most fun! Thanks Grandpa for a fun filled night!!

Stroller bound baby cousins Madelyn and Michael are 6 months apart. Just chillin' while we were all bowling.
Me and Michael. Isn't he the cutest thing ever?!! I love this boy!!

We also were so lucky to be there for cousin Alexa's 4th birthday party at her little gymnastics gym place. The kids loved running around and climbing on everything! Thanks Aunt Kelli for a fun party!!

Mema sneaking in some ice cream! Yum!
Not sure Madelyn is liking all that LOVE from Kali!

And finally...Madelyn's FAVORITE part of the whole trip was playing in this little rocking chair at Mema's house. This chair was my Uncle Craig's chair when he was a little boy. It has been at my mom's house ever since I can remember and Madelyn just couldn't stay out/off of it. Here she is doing her many tricks on it, I just had to snap a few pics. Gotta love this girl!

Thanks so much Mema and Grandpa for a great trip!! We had a blast with you and with Aunt Kelli, Uncle Shaun and Alexa and Michael!! We love and miss you guys already!!

My little dancing queen...

Kali had her first dance recital on the 11th. Let me just tell you that I was SHOCKED at what a little performer we have on our hands. I thought for sure she was going to freeze up and not do much of what she has learned in her little tap/ballet class, but, much to our surprise she was the complete opposite!! The music started and she went to town on her little routine and was concentrating and smiling and waving and dancing and tapping and looking CUTE as EVER!! I was so PROUD of our Kali and what an awesome little performer she is! I was having second thoughts about keeping her in dance but I think after that show I am changing my mind!!

Here are a few pics of Kali with her good friends Taylen and Kinsey before the show.

Behind the stage getting ready to start.

Aunt Kristin and Mille brought flowers for Kali which she so quickly shared with her friend Taylen. Too cute!

Camping in Lake Tahoe

We went camping with all of the Stacy family for the 4th of July weekend in South Lake Tahoe and we had a BLAST! What could be more fun than beautiful Lake Tahoe, lots of sand, lots of dirt, sleeping in a tent for 3 night with 3 kids, eating whatever whenever, toasting marshmallows, eating smores, bears going through our camp in the middle of the night licking up our leftovers from the smores, getting up at the crack of dawn, going on bike rides, spending a whole 12 hours on the same beach all day just so we could see the BEST firework show ever, trekking back and forth to our cars with LOADS of stuff that we needed to spend the whole day on the beach, playing with cool glow sticks while watching the awesome fireworks show, my brand new bike getting stolen during the fireworks show, being filthy dirty and then packing up and driving home after being totally exhausted from all the WORK that goes into camping with 3 small kids! My camera is broken but I did get a few shots, I borrowed some from Aunt Brittany and Uncle Jeff's pics that they posted on facebook :) (Thanks guys!)

The pictures tell it all! Thanks for a fun camping trip and lots of fun memories to remember Grandma and Grandpa Stacy!
