Camping in Lake Tahoe

We went camping with all of the Stacy family for the 4th of July weekend in South Lake Tahoe and we had a BLAST! What could be more fun than beautiful Lake Tahoe, lots of sand, lots of dirt, sleeping in a tent for 3 night with 3 kids, eating whatever whenever, toasting marshmallows, eating smores, bears going through our camp in the middle of the night licking up our leftovers from the smores, getting up at the crack of dawn, going on bike rides, spending a whole 12 hours on the same beach all day just so we could see the BEST firework show ever, trekking back and forth to our cars with LOADS of stuff that we needed to spend the whole day on the beach, playing with cool glow sticks while watching the awesome fireworks show, my brand new bike getting stolen during the fireworks show, being filthy dirty and then packing up and driving home after being totally exhausted from all the WORK that goes into camping with 3 small kids! My camera is broken but I did get a few shots, I borrowed some from Aunt Brittany and Uncle Jeff's pics that they posted on facebook :) (Thanks guys!)

The pictures tell it all! Thanks for a fun camping trip and lots of fun memories to remember Grandma and Grandpa Stacy!

YOu got your new bike stolen??? Cute pictures. How is it camping in the sand?? I think I would have a hard time. Sand and I are not really that great of friends.

Kari, Pics are so cute! But after all that work, you so deserve a new camera AND a new BIKE!! MOM's do most of the work on Campouts and get very little sleep!! You are awesome!!
love, MOM!

You're a trooper. When our side of the family got invited, I looked at the campground online and saw all the bear warnings. Heck no, was my response. :) I think I have a major fear of bears, or anything that might sneak off in the night with one of my kids. Or poisonous spiders, poisonous snakes, etc. etc, etc.

Somehow I missed the first paragraph of your blog... Some not so fun moments, huh?! The longest I've ever camped is 2 nights with only 2 kids, I can't imagine the work involved with more kids and more days! I had to pack the four kids up this weekend for my sister's wedding and it took me 8 hours (with nursing time) to just pack! I thought I was going to die and was so glad I had packed the day before! I can't imagine packing all the camping stuff on top of that! AHHH! You are amazing!
