Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving this year was quite different from last year but it was still very nice. Quiet and calm and nice. It was just our family and Grandma and Grandpa Stacy and we had enough food for about four families! You just can't cook small when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. This year I even went all out and made homemade dinner rolls! You don't get that very often from me! haha! But believe it or not I can actually bake and these rolls were dang good! Good enough to take a picture :) I took care of the rolls and potatoes and Grandma took care of the rest! She is seriosuly the BEST.  Anyways, we had a nice day of relaxing, baking, cooking and going on a long fun bike ride with the kids and then of course some football and then the eating. It was a great day and I am so grateful for such amazing in-laws!

That weekend after Thanksgiving we went down to Sheila's to celebrate little Hailey's 2nd birthday!  These are a few pictures from that fun visit. The kids love their cousins so much and we always have a blast at Auntie Sheila's. I wish we lived closer!!

Fall Soccer 2012

Kali and Zach both had a great soccer season this past fall. They were both #19...again.

Kali was on the Rockstarz this year with serveral of her good friends and she did an amazing job! She averaged about 2 goals per game and was actually awarded the "MVP" award at the end of the season! Coach Scott did a great job with the girls and they all seemed to have a great time out on the field.  Kali loves playing soccer and already can't wait until next season...in the meantime we might get her into some indoor soccer through the off season :)

Team party and awards.

Zach moved up a division to the older 8-9 year old boys and had to work a little harder this year on the larger field and longer playing time. He did an awesome job and really enjoyed playing with a few of his friends on the Earthquakes team this season. Thanks to Coach Jordan for another awesome season :)

Happy 7th Birthday Kali!!

On Novemeber 3rd, our fun, silly, energetic, sweet Kali turned 7 years old!! She wanted waffles for breakfast so that's what she got and then she begged to open one of her presents early. It was a new "real" purse and some new earrings. She was so happy to finally get a "real" purse and not one that was for dressups. haha! I just love this girl and the energy that she brings into our home.
Her birthday was on a Saturday so of course the day was busy with soccer games. Grandma and Grandpa came early so they could come to Kali's game. Luckily she won her game and scored 2 goals!! The team even sang Happy Birthday to her. We spent the rest of the day having a family birthday party at the house with pizza and cake and then running off to Zach's soccer game in the afternoon in between all the birthday fun. It was fun having Sheila and Jeff and their kids come play and party with us too!!

Kali, we are so proud of you and the kind, thoughtful, happy, fun-loving girl that you are and especially for the sweet spirit that you have and are so eager to share with others!! You are doing great in school and we are so pleased with how many great things your teacher had to say about you and how helpful and outgoing and what a good friend you are to others. You definitely have a great energy about you and it has helped you become such an awesome soccer player this year with an average of two goals per game!! Coach Scott said you aren't allowed to miss a single game because the team needs you and your awesome skills.  Keep up the good work!!We love you so much!!

Happy Birthday Kali!! We love you to pieces and our family just wouldn't be the same without you!!!

Halloween 2012

This was the night of our Ward Trunk-or-Treat at the church. Kali was a witch this night. It was fun and crazy!...mostly because of the huge turnout of people and the fact that I was juggling my kids alone without Mark.

Happy Halloween!! Trick or Treat!
Halloween night- Notice Kali decided to be a "Flower Girl" this night. I love the fact that I only spent $5 on the striped witch tights and a broom for Kali so she could be a cute witch. She used them once for the trunk-or-treat. This is why I don't ever spend money on Halloween costumes. They change their minds 3 times and end up using something they find in their own closet! Notice the butterfly that is getting its 4th year of use?!! YES! And Zach's Batman costume was borrowed from cousin Justin who was so nice to share. And I'm pretty sure the Angel costume was Kali's when she was 2 and Madelyn insisted on wearing it even if the sleeves are too small and the dress is a little short! Nothing some tights and a sweater can't fix!! haha! I just LOVE these cute kiddos!! They make me smile :)
 Trick-or-treating with the neighborhood friends!

And the butterfly and the bumble bee were too cute to not get a picture of! This is Miles. He's two. He's our next door neighbor and Lilly loves him :)
