Folsom Zoo- Preschool Field Trip

In September, Madelyn's preschool class took a field trip to the Folsom Zoo. This zoo is small but perfect for a morning activity with little ones this age. The kids seem to really enjoy it and they love Mrs. Wright so much. Yes, Mrs. Wright has a broken foot and had to be in a wheel chair. The kids thought it was fun taking turns pushing her around or even sitting in her lap for a bit. She really is so great with the kids and does such a great job teaching. Madelyn really loves Mrs. Wright and has already learned SO much! After we walked through the whole zoo we rode the little train and then headed to the park for lunch and some playtime. Lilly loved tagging along at the zoo and seeing all the animas too!

So cool to be so close to that tiger. I love tigers. They are seriously one of the most beautiful animals.

There was something fascinating about watching that bear eat his lunch :)

Napa Ragnar Relay 2012!!- "Still Honeymoonin!"

September 14th &15th was the Napa Ragnar Relay Race... 194 miles from San Fran to the Napa Valley, 12 runners, 26+ hours of running, very little or NO sleep at all and we still have a smile on our face at the end!! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Stacy, Mark and I were lucky to get away and race together on our team "Still Honeymoonin." We had a blast with our friends and loved having the time together!

Cathi started us off as runner one and she got to run across the Golden Gate Bridge. So cool!

Leg one's DONE! Now time for some grub and R&R until our night runs.

And this was the only pic I took during the night. But I'd have to say it's a pretty cool one of Aubry and her awesome GLOW hair. You couldn't miss her!

I loved my 6.5 mile night run in perfect 50 degree weather at 1am!! WHOOHOO!!...until my last mile up a very steep ridiculous hill!! It killed me. But I managed to average a sub-9 min/mile pace. Not too shabby :)
