Easter 2010

We spent Easter weekend up at Grandma and Grandpa Stacy's and it was an action packed Easter celebration. Since we had been in Disneyland that whole week and got back on Friday we hadn't had the chance to dye Easter eggs yet. The kids were super excited to take our eggs to Grandma's house and color them there. Auntie Sheila, Uncle Jeff, Justin and Jordan all came for the weekend too so we had tons of fun and plenty to do. Uncle Jeremy was there hanging with the kids most of the time too...in fact he seems to be the only one in all the pics with the kids. They love their Uncle Jeremy!! He actually went out and hid all the eggs for the Easter egg hunt in Grandma and Grandpa's giant yard. They all had a blast finding the eggs and then later came in to frost some bunny cookies. Actually, Zach and Justin took a little ride on the quad while Kali and Jordan frosted and ate their cookies. We finished the evening roasting giant marshmallows over the campfire! It was a chilly Easter weekend too so this was a must! Sunday morning, the kids were so excited when they found their Easter baskets all full of candy and treats from the Easter bunny. They also loved the bunny pancakes that Auntie Sheila and Grandma made! The rest of Easter Sunday was spent being lazy and watching General Conference, spending time with the whole Stacy family(except Jeff and Brittany, we miss you guys!) and enjoying an amazingly yummy dinner and dessert! It's times like this that I feel so truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family and I want them all to know how much I love and appreciate them so much!!

Spring Break in D-Land!

We decided to take advantage of our season passes and the time off from school and head down to Disneyland. This time some good friends of ours, Dave and Ali Hormann, came with us and I can't tell you who enjoyed having them there more, me or the kids. They are so great with our kids and it was also so nice to have an extra set of hands to help out when things got crazy...(like things can ever get crazy with 3 kids!) Mark wasn't able to be there for the first two days because of some things that came up with work so it was just me and Dave and Ali with the kids and we actually had a great time. I totally felt like I had a handle on things even though Mark wasn't there thanks to Dave and Ali. The kids were super excited to have Daddy join us on the third day. We had a blast riding as many rides as we could, watching all the awesome parades and catching a few fun shows that we haven't ever seen before. I feel like there is always something new we can do or see every time we go! Here's to another fun trip in Disneyland!!

(This never happens!...I think she was happy to have her daddy back ...and maybe a little exhausted too)

Okay, so these pics crack me up...this is Mark's way of getting pictures with the characters without having to wait in the lines...."just go stand near them and I'll take a pic of you with them in the background. " haha!

Our new Family picture!

We ran into the Hage's and spent a little time with them. Kali was so excited to have her best friend Kinsey there!

Bye-bye Disneyland!! We'll see you again soon!

Tire swing fun

Last weekend we took the kids to visit Grandma and Grandpa Stacy. It's been a while since we've been up to their house and the kids were super excited! It's always a nice little getaway to head out of the city to one of the most beautiful areas in Northern California. Mark and Grandpa had the great idea of hanging a tire swing and that's when the fun began! Yes, Mark climbed up that giant ladder to hang the rope...I think the most entertaining part was watching them just getting the ladder up...too bad I didn't get that on video. Haha! Well, here are some pics and a couple videos of the fun! I even had to try out the swing! Can't tell you the last time I did that!

Bad babies.

A conversation I just had with Kali went a little something like this:

Me: Kali, why are all your babies out on the trampoline?

Kali: Because they are in "Jable"

Me: "Jable?", do you mean "Jail"?

Kali: Uh huh! Because they were being bad and they were not wearing their seat belts.

Apparently we take wearing seat belts pretty serious in this family.

My cool brother-in-law...

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of going to see what a day in the life of Neal(my very cool brother-in-law) is like and how he preps and prepares for a flying "high" in the U2. I can't believe it's taken me 4 years to finally make it up to the base to do this and I am so gad I did! It was so interesting and neat to see all that Neal has to do before he flies and the number of people it involves just to prepare him. In the first couple pics, Neal is getting all suited up after he's already been breathing pure oxygen through a mask. His suit has O2 being pumped into it that he is breathing in his helmet. We then went in a van that transported him over to the plane. I got to ride in the chase car that drives at ridiculously high speeds and follows the plane while he takes off and lands. The last two pics were taken from the chase car while we were following Neal in the plane. I really had a great time and enjoyed getting to see and experience what Neal does. It really gave me a new appreciation for what these men do for our country! Neal I think you're awesome and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to get a small taste of what you do!

And it begins...

T-ball!! Zach is super excited to be playing and it's fun to see how much he is wanting to practice and work on his skills. He's got a pretty good arm and a great hit already! Looking forward to a fun season!

Disney on Ice

A few weeks ago we took the kids to see Disney On Ice as a last minute fun outing for our day off from school. We had never been before and I thought it would be something that the kids would love. And they did! We got to see Mickey Mouse and friends at the beginning, Cars, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and the whole second half was Tinkerbell and the fairies from Pixie Hollow. It was actually really fun! Madelyn seemed to enjoy the first half but got a little restless in the second half which was to be expected of a 20 month old. I didn't get many pictures but here are a few just for journaling purposes. :)

Zach and Kali had a great time and loved every minute of it! Zach said his favorite part was the Cars of course and Kali said her favorite part was The Little Mermaid .
