My cool brother-in-law...
A few weeks ago I had the privilege of going to see what a day in the life of Neal(my very cool brother-in-law) is like and how he preps and prepares for a flying "high" in the U2. I can't believe it's taken me 4 years to finally make it up to the base to do this and I am so gad I did! It was so interesting and neat to see all that Neal has to do before he flies and the number of people it involves just to prepare him. In the first couple pics, Neal is getting all suited up after he's already been breathing pure oxygen through a mask. His suit has O2 being pumped into it that he is breathing in his helmet. We then went in a van that transported him over to the plane. I got to ride in the chase car that drives at ridiculously high speeds and follows the plane while he takes off and lands. The last two pics were taken from the chase car while we were following Neal in the plane. I really had a great time and enjoyed getting to see and experience what Neal does. It really gave me a new appreciation for what these men do for our country! Neal I think you're awesome and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to get a small taste of what you do!

Wow...that is really cool!!! What an amazing opportunity :)
And, seriously...have Neal and Kristin been here 4 years! Where has the time gone?
I totally agree with you-Neal is the coolest-I mean Marks cool too-but HELLO look what Neal does. You really have no idea the extent to what he does until you hear him talk and see pictures and such. I am just impressed that he can fly a plane in that marshmellow suite!! I think what you got to see and experience would have been awesome!! I would have been in awe the whole time watching him get ready!!
Seriously cool. I think he takes the cake on Bro-in laws. Although I think it's pretty hot watching Shaun take apart a PC and put back together blind-folded. Haha. J/k. Awesome shots Kari. Wish I could see it next time we come up!
