Today was the first day of school for Kali and Zach and it was a bitter sweet day for me. Kali is starting Kindergarten and Zach is our big first grader now! I took Kali to her class while Mark took Zach to his since they are at different schools for the time being (hoping Zach will be transferred over soon as he's been on the waiting list for over a year now). Kali was a little shy and nervous at first because it was a little crowded and crazy in there with all the parents, but she soon warmed up and was excited to see her best buddy Kinsey and they soon were holding hands and guiding each other around. It was cute. Mark said Zach did great and was excited to have his very own desk and was soon coloring and cutting away on a little project the teacher had set up for them.So here I am at home with my sweet little two year old Madelyn and enjoying the three hours that I get with just her. It is going to be nice having the time to get projects and things done and even to just go grocery shopping with just one kid. Although, I think I am going to miss Zach being gone all day. The break is nice but it's just going to be different. Anyways, I'm glad to be back on a schedule with the kids. The crazy busy summer was starting to get exhausting and so we are all excited for the change and to begin a new school year!!

ummmm, someone had some time today! Super impressed with the post already!!! Kali and Zach TOTALLY look like siblings in that top picture Kari, it's REALLY cute. Wow, so big Kindergartner for Kali! I'm so happy that Kinsey is in her class, it's going to make the transition so nice for both of them! I can't wait to see what kind of student Kali is!!!
YEAH for school! Summer was fun but lets be honest, we all need a break from our kids now and then! I am so happy Kinsey and Kali are in the same class. I hope Zach and Kali both had fun today!

Glad things went well with your kiddos. Kinsey and Kali are lucky to have each other. It made it so much nicer that Grant had Avery this afternoon and didn't feel alone (despite the other 28 kids in the class).

School starts a little earlier there, but this means that its just around the corner for us! Kali is getting so big and her look is starting to change a little. I hope you enjoy your time with Madelyn.

Love all the pictures you took! Kali was MORE than ready for Kindergarten! She is going to do awesome! And as for missing our 1st graders...seriously?? JK! They are gone a long time, but lets just admit it, the last two days were so nice!! And the structure will be good for them!
SOOO FUN! Can't believe our girls are already in Kindergarten. It's so surreal. Love her sandals, they are very hip and trendy! haha. Enjoy the peace and quiet, just means we can have our phone conversations back when we clean the bathrooms! lol
