Future Hairdresser?...

...Ummm well, you tell me. What do you think? The other day the kids were up playing in Kali's room and Millie and Zach decided to do Kali's hair. This is the final product. Pretty?!

******************
Speaking of Kali and her beautiful hair... I have just been so fed up lately with the whole hair routine these days! She is such a pain to get to sit still even for a minute so I can fix her hair, let alone just brush it! She HATES getting her hair brushed or combed and the tangles are out of control because I just don't feel like fighting it and so she goes another day without it being fixed. I do make her sit still on days that she has school or church but the screaming and fighting it is really starting to BUG me! I keep saying how I am so ready to just cut it off and get her a cute bob or something. BUT, then I won't be able to do this...

Too Cute! I just can't decide if it's worth it to chop it. That will limit the cute hairstyles but it will also bring more peaceful mornings in our house. What do you think??

Kari - OK coming from a mom of girls with long hair...I feel your pain! But don't cut it! I love Kali's curls! I do have a few different things that have helped ease the tangle pain with our girls. We always brush their hair before they get in the bath - it's much easier to brush the tangles out when it's drym and then post-bath brushing isn't so bad. Then, we use the kid's detangling conditioner and I try to not let it completely rinse out. I never put it close to their scalp, so it doesn't make them all greasy, but leaving a little in makes it easier to brush through. You can also comb through her hair once more in the bath before you rinse the conditioner. Then, if you always have her hair done (braided, ponytails, anything) it will get less tangles. Sometimes I'll leave their hair down during the day, but then brush it and put it in a quick braid for bedtime so it doesn't get all tangly while they're sleeping. Emma's hair used to be like Kali's - with the curls. It seemed like her hair got much more tangly because of that, but her hair has gotten thicker in the past couple of years and isn't so curly(sad!), so it's easier to brush now. Hope that helps!!

Looks like someone should bag college and hit Beauty School instead..j/k. BEAUTIFUL HAIR-DO Millie and Zach.

I say CUT IT! It will grow back out so quickly. I actually wanted to cut Alexa's before it grew out b/c I LOVE the little girl bob, i think it's adorable. I'll be the rebel...CUT IT!!!!!!!!

My oldest cut Livvy's when she was about 18 months old (Livvy already had hair down past her shoulders). Kayla only cut the back, and it turned out to be the most adorable little bob. We kept it like that for about two years. I loved it, but my girls' hair is flat and straight, so I found that I was blow drying and using the round brush almost every morning. So it still took awhile, and sometimes it didn't take long before it looked like I hadn't done anything.

CUT IT!!!! It will be so cute! I would take her somewhere and have it cut though. I think it will be so adorable! Hopefully no one else who left comments thinks I am abusing my "closest in proximity sister" privileges! I always kept Millie's hair long because she was great when I would fix it, and she wanted me to fix it. Kali is a PAIN when it comes to hair, and I think a little bob would fit her feisty personality!

Love the hairdo that Zach and Millie gave her!!! so cute.

we have already talked about this and I know if Loren didn't let me do her hair, i would totally cut it. Those braids are dang cute though. have you tried the detangler spray after bath??
