Happy 7th Birthday Kali!!

On Novemeber 3rd, our fun, silly, energetic, sweet Kali turned 7 years old!! She wanted waffles for breakfast so that's what she got and then she begged to open one of her presents early. It was a new "real" purse and some new earrings. She was so happy to finally get a "real" purse and not one that was for dressups. haha! I just love this girl and the energy that she brings into our home.
Her birthday was on a Saturday so of course the day was busy with soccer games. Grandma and Grandpa came early so they could come to Kali's game. Luckily she won her game and scored 2 goals!! The team even sang Happy Birthday to her. We spent the rest of the day having a family birthday party at the house with pizza and cake and then running off to Zach's soccer game in the afternoon in between all the birthday fun. It was fun having Sheila and Jeff and their kids come play and party with us too!!

Kali, we are so proud of you and the kind, thoughtful, happy, fun-loving girl that you are and especially for the sweet spirit that you have and are so eager to share with others!! You are doing great in school and we are so pleased with how many great things your teacher had to say about you and how helpful and outgoing and what a good friend you are to others. You definitely have a great energy about you and it has helped you become such an awesome soccer player this year with an average of two goals per game!! Coach Scott said you aren't allowed to miss a single game because the team needs you and your awesome skills.  Keep up the good work!!We love you so much!!

Happy Birthday Kali!! We love you to pieces and our family just wouldn't be the same without you!!!

Halloween 2012

This was the night of our Ward Trunk-or-Treat at the church. Kali was a witch this night. It was fun and crazy!...mostly because of the huge turnout of people and the fact that I was juggling my kids alone without Mark.

Happy Halloween!! Trick or Treat!
Halloween night- Notice Kali decided to be a "Flower Girl" this night. I love the fact that I only spent $5 on the striped witch tights and a broom for Kali so she could be a cute witch. She used them once for the trunk-or-treat. This is why I don't ever spend money on Halloween costumes. They change their minds 3 times and end up using something they find in their own closet! Notice the butterfly that is getting its 4th year of use?!! YES! And Zach's Batman costume was borrowed from cousin Justin who was so nice to share. And I'm pretty sure the Angel costume was Kali's when she was 2 and Madelyn insisted on wearing it even if the sleeves are too small and the dress is a little short! Nothing some tights and a sweater can't fix!! haha! I just LOVE these cute kiddos!! They make me smile :)
 Trick-or-treating with the neighborhood friends!

And the butterfly and the bumble bee were too cute to not get a picture of! This is Miles. He's two. He's our next door neighbor and Lilly loves him :)

Madelyn's October Preschool FUN!

Madelyn is having the best time in Preschool this year! She is doing so many fun things and learning so much!! October was a busy month for her class. They took a field trip to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm which was our second time there this month. But this time it was just the two of us with no siblings to get in the way and of course her cute classmates as well. I loved every minute of my day with Madelyn. It is so fun watching her interact with her friends and to hear how much she is learning and growing. Mrs. Wright is an AMAZING teacher with these kids and Madelyn just LOVES going to school and on field trips.

Mrs. Wright with Avery, Madelyn, Morgan, Michael and Logan. So CUTE! We were missing Heaton.

On Halloween day Madelyn got to have a Halloween party at preschool that Lilly and I were invited to come join. They played outside, ate yummy treats, sang some cute halloween songs for the parents and then had a little costume parade down the street for fun! Mrs. Wright is the BEST!!! And Madelyn was a pretty cute little Angel :)

Thanks Mrs. Wright for making everything so FUN! Happy Halloween!!!

Fun weekend with Dad!

While I was in DC, Mark and the kids had a fun busy weekend! They went to Grandma and Grandpa's and camped out in their yard Friday night which I heard was super fun as they watched for shooting stars and satellites in the dark sky. Saturday morning they played in their soccer games and then afterwards they headed down to Modesto for Justin's 7th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese! They had so much fun with Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa and their cousins! I am so grateful for a husband who loves to spend time with his kids and have fun! They are lucky kids to have such a great dad!! And I am one lucky Mom to have such great kids and the best husband in the world!! Anyways, here are a few pics of Justin's birthday that Mark took :)
