BEST GIRLS WEEKEND EVER!

 Let the craziness begin!!
In the middle of October we finally got to have our Sister's weekend. This year it was in DC at Kristin's at it was quite the challenge getting us all there flying standby with Dad's buddy passes.  BUT we all made it and by late Thursday night (around midnight to be exact) we were all finally together!! The above pic was taken for Kelli... she was the last one to fly in and we were all waiting for her. Let the fun begin!

We kicked off the weekend with a morning 3 mile jog through the beautiful trails by Kristin's house. The weather was perfect! And the scenery was gorgeous! Neal welcomed us at home with donuts and large diet cokes. Haha! Breakfast of champions! So much for the run...
After we got all prettied up we headed out for some major outlet mall shopping, lots of diet coke, yummy food and lots of laughs!!

Ugly shoe shopping.

That evening we headed to Old town Alexandria for dinner and some window shopping. The streets were lined with cute shops and quaint little restaraunts. I LOVED this part of town!

We got our hot chocolates and headed down to the river where Val told us about her engagement story with Tyson that took place here :)

Checked in to the hotel and soaking our exhausted-tired-from-shopping legs and feet! YES!

On Saturday we took the metro to Eastern Market where we had breakfast at this super cute cafe and then did a little market shopping.

Snack Time!!

We had to make a stop and do some sightseeing of DC!!
The Washington Monument and the Capitol. Check.

 I got photo bombed by Kat's finger...nice.

And more shopping...at a very large fancy mall with giant mirrors in the bathroom.
An afternoon snack to get us through our last round of shopping! YES please!

We ended the fun weekend with a big yummy dinner at Jackson's. Neal and Sam met up with us. It was so great to enjoy a nice yummy dinner all together!!

I miss my sisters already! The weekend was so fun and I am so grateful for my sisters and the time we got to spend together! It is never long enough! Looking foward to our next sisters WEEK! No more of this weekend stuff...I need more time with these amazing fun crazy girls!!! Love you girls all so much!!! And thanks to my awesome hubby for holding down the fort while I was away!

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm

It has become our family tradition to pick our pumpkins from the fields at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm so when the kids had a day out of school one Friday in early October I thought it would be a great day to go. Since Mark is still working out of town and I didn't want to battle the pumpkin farm alone with 4 kids I called our favorite babysitter and friend Alex to come join us and she was more than happy to come! It was the perfect overcast Fall weather day! We did all of our favorite things starting with the fun train ride and then checking out the animals at the petting zoo. Lilly escpecially liked the animals. Then we ended with the hayride out to the huge pumpkin fields to pick out our very own pumpkins! The kids really had a blast and loved having Alex there to join in on the fun. And I loved having Alex there as well and appreciated all her help with my 4 crazy kiddos!! Thanks Alex!

Happy Fall Everyone!!
