Aunt Kelli comes for a visit!!

Aunt Kelli, and Alexa and Michael came to visit us for a week at the beginning of June and we had such a blast! The kids had a great time together even though Zach and Kali were still finishing up their last few days of school.  Madelyn and Michael loved playing together :) We pretty much just hung out and played and Kelli helped out a ton with my crazy schedule that was still going on. So in between naps, swimming lessons, piano lessons, and school the kids were able to still play and have some fun!

 On the last day of school for the kids, Kelli had the brilliant idea of ambushing the kids with silly string and water balloons when they got home. They thought this was super fun and loved that their cool Aunt Kelli was right there in the middle of it all! haha!!  HAppy LaSt DaY of ScHOoL!!

 And another one of Kelli's great ideas....tie-dye t-shirts made from permanent markers and rubbing alcohol...the kids LOVED making their very own shirts! Thanks Aunt Kelli for being so much fun!! We love you and Alexa and Michael and can't wait to see you again!!

1st & 2nd grade school performance!

 Zach and Kali were in a musical performance show called "Go Fish" put on by all the 1st and 2nd graders at school. They did a great job and had a lot of fun doing it. Madelyn tagged along with me to watch them and she loved seeing her big brother and big sister up on stage. Kali was right down front and center so I could get a good picture of her but Zach was a little harder to see...(see pic below)... he is right in the middle right behind the angel :)

Lincoln Little League 2012

Zach had a great baseball season this year with his awesome Round Rock Express team! We love coach Tony and can't wait to be with him in the future for basketball season and baseball again next year!

 Zach was known for catching the fly balls and seriously never missed! Thought this was a cool picture of him in action!

Pinewood Derby time!

 Zach had his first Pinewood Derby and it was a lot of fun! He did a great job sanding and painting and decorating his car, mostly all on his own, and luckily he wasn't too set on winning :) His car won one or two of the early heats but unfortunately didn't make it to the finals. However, Zach had a good time watching all the races and hanging with his friends and his best bud Ryan. He has loved being in scouts and getting to do all the fun boy things with his friends and awesome leaders!

Happy 11 years to us!!

 April 27th was our 11 year anniversary and we were lucky enough have a little overnight getaway to San Fransisco! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for watching the kids for us! It was so nice to spend some much needed time together because Mark has been doing A LOT of traveling lately for work. We headed out on Friday afternoon with a little shopping stop at the outlets in Vacaville and then made it to the city in time to check in to our hotel and go get a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants Hillstone. YUM! On Saturday Mark had the brilliant idea of going on a run together through Golden Gate park. I assumed this would be a 3-4 mile run but Mark wanted to run all the way to the beach which ended up being about 4 miles and then we had to go back to the other end of the park to our car! Almost 8 miles and we were exhausted but it felt great and we had a blast run/jog/walking through such a beautiful park with perfect weather and just being together! We then got ready for the day and headed out for some yummy lunch on Pier 39 with a perfect view and then some shopping and finished it off with massages at Massage Envy to help ease our sore tired muscles from our adventurous run that morning. It was the perfect weekend spent with my best friend and I wouldn't have asked for anything more! I love you more and more each day Mark and can't wait to spend forever and ever with you!! Happy 11 years to us!!

Spring Break- part 3

 While in Utah for Spring Break we couldn't pass up the chance to take the kids to Temple Square in Salt Lake City for a day and let them see and explore all there is there. It was a beautiful windy day and we did a lot of walking with these crazy kids but they seemed to really enjoy it all. We went into both visitor centers and walked around the temple grounds, then headed over to the amazing Conference center where they got to check out the inside as well as a tour of the cool rooftop. Then compared that to the old Tabernacle and they were amazed! We were so glad Lori and her cute kiddos could come with us and make our day more fun!

 And our last day of playing we headed to Chuck E. Cheese to let the kids play and burn a little energy off before Lori and I went out for lunch with no kids! Hannah was so great with Madelyn and Kali. They loved her! And Nolan and Zach were so funny about what they wore each day...they wanted to match every day. They were inseparable!

We had such a fun trip and my kids are still talking about how much fun they had with Hannah, Nolan and Josh and how they can't wait to go back sometime! It was so great to see old friends and our family  and little cousins and we are so glad we got to take this trip! Thanks so much to Dan and Lori for letting us crash at your place for the week! We love you guys tons!!
