6 months old already?!

Seriously where has the time gone?!! I hear myself repeat that over and over again...But another month has passed and Lilly is now 6 months old! Well, actually she is 6 &1/2 months old now that I am finally blogging about it. I just can't express enough how much we just LOVE and enjoy EVERY minute with this fun sweet girl! Her little personality is coming out so much and she is almost always smiling and happy :) She is such a good baby! Just a few new things she is doing now that I want to document:
- she ROLLS over both ways and is now pushing up on ALL FOURS getting ready to crawl. She ROCKS and scoots and pushes herself backwards most of the time but seems to be able to somehow get to whatever it is she is trying to get to...and she is quite proud when she does get to it (usually the wipe box on the floor)
- she can take her binky out and put it back in her mouth...comes in handy for nap times when she can see her binky and find it and put it back in her mouth...most of the time ;)
-Lilly is eating rice cereal and baby food 2-3 times a day...and she LOVES it! so far she has had peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, applesauce, pears, & bananas (her favorite I think)
- she can now eat cheerios and does quite well with one at a time without gagging. It's super cute and she loves it! I think she thinks she's a big girl :)
- She takes two awesome naps a day 2-3 hours long. And she sleeps great at night usually from about 7pm- 7 or 8 am! WHOohoo!! Sleep is GOOD!
-Lilly is discovering her voice- no repetitive sounds like da-da or ma-ma yet but just sounds and sometimes little screams and screeches just to listen to herself I think. It's cute.
-She LOVES the bath! I lay her down in it still because she's not quite sitting up on her own yet and she just kicks and splashes and laughs and smiles the whole time. It's so funny to watch.
-She lights up and smiles anytime Zach or Kali or Madelyn talks to her or comes close to her. I love the bond that siblings just naturally have. She has the best big sisters and big brother who love her so much!
- At Lilly's 6 month check up she weighed 16 lbs 9 oz, and was 26.25 inches long. Happy & healthy as can be!

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!!

Believe it or not, this was our FIRST time to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom located only less than an hour and half away from us! Since we are all "Disneylanded" out and we had no major trips planned this summer we thought it would be fun to take a day and get away from the Sacramento heat and head towards the bay area for some roller coaster fun at Six Flags! Zach had earned a free ticket at school for completing a reading program during the school year so that's one kid in free! The kids were super excited and we even got our good friends Dave and Ali to join us for the fun! I really enjoyed the variety of things this place had to offer ...it's like a mix of roller coasters, zoo animals complete with a tiger show and elephant show, and also like sea world with a killer whale show and a dolphin show which was really fun! The kids even talked Mark into riding the river rafting water ride which nobody came off of dry. Madelyn even went too! haha! The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the food was actually really yummy as well. Everyone had a blast!! But, we couldn't leave until we got our Cold Stone Funnel Cake and it was AMAZING!

The super YUMMY Cold Stone funnel cake that we devoured in a matter of seconds! haha! Pretty sure that was our dinner too :)

BIG fun at the State Fair!

It has become Stacy family tradition to meet up at the California State Fair and enjoy the big crazy fun together! This year we were lucky to not have the hundred degree weather which was so nice. We also were able to go during the week on Kids get in FREE day and all the rides were only $1!! The kids totally scored! Auntie Sheila and her cute kiddos came and we were so excited that Grandma and Grandpa were able to get off work and meet us. An even bigger surprise was that Uncle Jeremy came too and met us for some of the fun! It was Uncle Jeremy's birthday too! For some reason I am so lame and didn't get a single pic of Jeremy. The kids were so excited that he came! We ended the day celebrating with Jeremy and the whole family at Round Table Pizza and then off to the mall we went to pierce our baby girls' ears! (see post below after this one)
The pics I got are only a few of the FUN things at the fair! It's so hard to get pics of it all!

Looking at the Kangaroos.

Touching a very big snake. Very cool.
SNOW CONES! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

Madelyn and Jordan were loving all the little rides.
Our little trooper! Such a good baby!

5 months old!

Our sweet Lillian is 5 months old today! Crazy how time flies! She just gets cuter by the day and we have so much fun getting to know her sweet little personality as she grows and changes every day. Here are a few things about Lilly at 5 months old for my own record keeping:

-sleeping through the night for a good long 10-12 hours
-loves her bottles and eats around 4-5, 8 oz bottles a day. It is definitely time to start the rice cereal as she has sometimes acted as if she is still hungry after downing an 8 oz bottle haha!
- we have tried rice cereal 2 times and she wasn't so sure of it but still tolerated it. we will keep trying :)
- rolls over from back to tummy but not so sure how to get back. she does like tummy time a lot more now and wiggles and scoots around quite a bit in her bed
- sleeps on her tummy and side now that she can roll over.
-LOVES her pacifier (thank goodness!) she does occasionally wake up in the night wanting it but goes right back sleep once I give it to her.
-loves to grab her toes and sometimes is caught sucking on her big toe!
- she is starting to coo and make more sounds, but is generally pretty quiet because there is always some kind of noise going on at our house :)
-she is pretty easy going mostly because she has to be...she goes with the flow and is great about it. That's child #4 for ya! It's funny how with my first baby I would make sure to be home for his naps and with baby #4 I am interrupting her naps to go places with the big kids!
-she loves her big brother and sisters...she just lights up and smiles when they talk to her and pay attention to her.
-she does get startled by loud noises sometimes and doesn't like it to be loud when she is eating.
- she will smile at anyone that will smile at her :) although her smiles are hard to catch on camera. I was lucky enough to get a couple today though!!
-she is just plain SWEET and our family would not be complete without her!!
We LOVE our sweet Lilly!!

It is tradition in the Stacy family to pierce our baby girl's ears at the California State Fair with this really awesome guy that has been there for years. Sheila and I were so excited to get Lilly's and Hailey's ears pierced together and we couldn't wait for the State Fair. So yesterday we went to the fair BUT unfortunately, this year, the "ear-piercing guy" was nowhere to be found! We were so bummed but we were not going to go home without our baby girls' ears pierced. After dinner we made a stop at the mall and tortured our sweet baby girls! They both actually did great and only cried for less than a minute! Here is Lilly before...

And AFTER...see! she hardly looks like anything phased her!
So Pretty!
And then seriously 5 minutes later she passed out! She was so exhausted from our busy day at the fair and then the ear piercing trauma! That's Hailey trying to get her cousin Lilly...she has cute earrings too :)

A few more recent pics of our sweet Lilly :)

Showing off our new swimsuit!
Zach and Kali actually took these shots. haha! Not too bad huh!?!

Kali just can't get enough of Lilly and she is always asking to hold her. She is a great big sister and loves to take care of Lilly when I let her ;)
Lovin' those toes!
