Christmas Eve at the Capell's

We went to Sheila and Jeff's for Christmas Eve and spent the day and evening there with cousins and Sheila, Jeff, and Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma of course had the sugar cookies all ready for us to frost and decorate...always a favorite tradition for the kids!! :)

Not sure how much frosting actually made it on the cookies by this little girl :)

A little cookie with your sprinkles?! Jordan decided to slurp up the "extra" sprinkles. Funny kid.

After a nice day of fun and play and a very yummy tri-tip steak dinner we gathered the kids to act out the Nativity. Madelyn was Mary, Grandpa was Joseph, and Kali wanted to be the donkey, of course.

 The Nativity cast.

Since we weren't all able to be together on Christmas day we opened presents that evening together. Grandma surprised all the kids with homemade warm fleece blankets with crocheted edges. The kids LOVE them and my kids use those blankets all the time!! Thanks so much Grandma!! Such a fun snuggly gift!!

It's not very often that I get a picture with my man...thought it was time for an update :)

We are so grateful for such wonderful family to spend the holidays with and although our hearts were missing sweet Uncle Jeremy a lot this Christmas we made sure to keep his memory alive in our home and with the children. Auntie Sheila had a beautiful "Jeremy" Christmas ornament made for every family and Grandma has been working on another big project of converting old home videos to DVD's for all the families to have. Such an awesome gift and it was so fun watching the videos together and for Mark and his family to reminisce together!

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving this year was quite different from last year but it was still very nice. Quiet and calm and nice. It was just our family and Grandma and Grandpa Stacy and we had enough food for about four families! You just can't cook small when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. This year I even went all out and made homemade dinner rolls! You don't get that very often from me! haha! But believe it or not I can actually bake and these rolls were dang good! Good enough to take a picture :) I took care of the rolls and potatoes and Grandma took care of the rest! She is seriosuly the BEST.  Anyways, we had a nice day of relaxing, baking, cooking and going on a long fun bike ride with the kids and then of course some football and then the eating. It was a great day and I am so grateful for such amazing in-laws!

That weekend after Thanksgiving we went down to Sheila's to celebrate little Hailey's 2nd birthday!  These are a few pictures from that fun visit. The kids love their cousins so much and we always have a blast at Auntie Sheila's. I wish we lived closer!!

Fall Soccer 2012

Kali and Zach both had a great soccer season this past fall. They were both #19...again.

Kali was on the Rockstarz this year with serveral of her good friends and she did an amazing job! She averaged about 2 goals per game and was actually awarded the "MVP" award at the end of the season! Coach Scott did a great job with the girls and they all seemed to have a great time out on the field.  Kali loves playing soccer and already can't wait until next season...in the meantime we might get her into some indoor soccer through the off season :)

Team party and awards.

Zach moved up a division to the older 8-9 year old boys and had to work a little harder this year on the larger field and longer playing time. He did an awesome job and really enjoyed playing with a few of his friends on the Earthquakes team this season. Thanks to Coach Jordan for another awesome season :)
