Spring Break in Utah- (part 1)

For Spring Break this year we decided to take a trip to Utah and it also happened to be Easter weekend! We got the kids out of school early on Friday and began our trek to Utah and arrived at about midnight that night. The kids did pretty well and couldn't have been more excited to be visiting our good friends the Brown's. It worked out that their spring break was that same week and so we thought it would be fun to make a trip out and visit good friends and family (my sis Kat and Mark's brother Jeff ). The kids had so much fun with Hannah, Nolan and Josh and we were so happy that Aunt Kat and Ivy could come and play with us too! These pics are from our Easter activities, dying 6 dozen eggs and Easter morning.

Lilly loves her cousin Ivy! They were so cute together :)

The kids loved playing with the Brown's cute puppy Abby.

Silly Lilly loves bathtime!! Ivy had to join in with her cousins too :)

Ready for Church :)

Field Trip to the Sacramento Children's Museum

The last week in March Madelyn's preschool took a little field trip to the Sacramento Children's Museum. I've been wanting to go and check this place out with the kids and this was the perfect opportunity with just my younger two girls. It wasn't that big of a place so it was perfect for the little ones but still had plenty of fun stuff to keep them busy for a couple hours! I'm pretty sure Lilly had just as much fun or more fun than Madelyn!! Everything was hands on discovery kind of play and they couldn't get enough it!! ...Especially the water tables!!

Lilly climbed up there on her own...she is climber and I'm in trouble!
And I just loved how she could barely reach the water and she would splash it with her hands and get it all over her face and she thought it was the funniest thing!!

The glass painting wall...SOOO Cool!! They just hose the wall down when it's covered and the kids just paint it some more! What a great idea!

Madelyn and her two buddies Taya and Carmen. Such cuties!
Here's the two preschool classes together...
Thanks so much Ms. Jane for a fun field trip!!

Our Rapunzel's

Been meaning to post this from a while ago. Kali is our "creative" one and she is always creating something. This time it was Rapunzel "hair"  for her and Madelyn to wear and then they had to ride their scooters so their "hair" would blow in the wind. Madelyn was loving it...oh and her outfit. Not sure what was going on there.  Haha! Love these girls!

Daddy-Daughter Dance

Kali has seriously been waiting all year for this Daddy Daughter Dance...since the one last year! She was so excited for this night she could hardly stand it and I'm pretty sure we started getting ready for it hours before it was time to go! This year I did actually get her a new dress that is also to be used as her new Easter dress and Kali was SO excited. I painted her nails and toes with light pink sparkles and dusted on a little shimmer makeup and blush and lip gloss and she was good to go! Oh, and we did actually curl her hair and that has become a new favorite "do" these days! We also found Daddy a new tie to match and let me tell you how excited he was to wear a pink tie! Makes for really cute pictures that's for sure!! After the picture taking they were off to dinner at Red Robin along with Josh and Kelsey Bartlett (our good friends and neighbors)... then they headed over to the school for some fun and dancing and more pictures! :) Kali said she had SO much fun with her daddy and already can't wait til next year!!

This was the professional picture taken at the dance and I seriously can't believe how grown up Kali looks! And how much she looks like her daddy ;)  Seriously she is in 1st grade!! Stop growing up!! (she is on a stool ;)) But I do LOVE the picture! Mark has many many more Daddy Daugher dances, pink ties and lots of pictures to look forward to!

Zach's first basketball season

I'm SO glad we decided to let Zach try out basketball this year because it was SOOO fun!! Mark helped assistant coach Zach's' team with Coach Tony Overbay who was also Zach's baseball coach last year and will be again this year. We love Coach Tony and his family- we've known them since we first moved to Lincoln 10 years ago. He is so great with the boys and really makes an effort to make sure they are having fun and everyone is getting equal playing time. Anyways, I never thought I would really get into the basketball games at this age with 1st and 2nd graders playing but it really was so fun...especially because our team "Heat" was actually pretty good! They only had 8 total games and they won 5 of the 8! The last game being the closest and tied only to lose in overtime! It was seriously INTENSE!! Zach played his heart out and I am so proud of how much he improved from the beginning of the season. He managed to score a few baskets in almost every game. I think his highest scoring game he scored 12 points! I just wish this sport had a longer season! It was so nice to be inside rain or shine :) We are now already into baseball season, and it goes until June! sheesh! Well, below are some pics from the last basketball game...Zach is #10 :)

Chase handing off to Jake (Coach Tony's son)...these two are cousins and are really awesome basketball players. See pic below of Jake catching some air on his layup.

Coach Mark giving some words of wisdom :)
 GO ZACH ATTACK!!

 Way to go Team "HEAT"!!
At our end of season party.
