Disneyland in January!

We took a little southern California trip for a wedding last week and decided it would be fun to stop in at one of our favorite places and play for a few days before the wedding. It turned out to be an extra fun trip because some of our best friends were going to be there the same time!! We got to spend two days with the Brown's and the kids had a blast! It really was nice to have friends there with us...the kids were much more entertained with friends there!

We left Wednesday morning at 4 am and drove straight to Disneyland. The kids did pretty well on the 7 hour drive down and they were super excited to go to Disneyland that day. Although, I think the early morning rise and long drive backfired on us...I'm pretty sure my kids were the only ones whining and complaining about walking and riding rides more than any kid in the whole park. Seriously?!! What is there to complain about in Disneyland?!! Yeah so they were pretty crabby, but we did have some fun. Needless to say, the second day was much better than the first when our friends were there!
Tram ride to the front gates. The fun begins!

Mommy made sure to take Kali to the princesses first. Luckily the line wasn't too long this time. Madelyn wanted nothing to do with the princesses, she wouldn't let go of me and screamed when we got closer to anyone dressed up in a costume!

Madelyn picked up pretty quick on what we do in Disneyland. Her new word that was repeated over and over was "ride", and she would say it until we got on a ride. It was way cute!
We had a lot of fun this time because Kali was tall enough to ride our favorite rides like Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain! She was pretty brave and tried all of them and rode them several times!
Just some really funny pirate singers that tried to auction Zach off. Here Zach's showing his muscles to see how much he's worth :)

DAY 2: Weather couldn't have been more perfect! It was in the 70's!!
We met up with our good friends and everyone was HAPPY! It was great to see the Brown's! We've missed them since they moved to Utah!
Hannah was 3 months old when we first met the Brown's! Crazy how time flies! She is almost 8 now! Kali loved having Hannah there!!

Madelyn trying to kiss Josh! She wanted to sit next to him in his stroller more than her own.

Zach and Nolan were two peas in a pod! Having a blast together!

Zach and Nolan got picked to be in the Star Wars Jedi training show and it was super cute! Here's Zach waiting to start his training. He was so serious. They even got to fight Darth Vader! Hopefully I'll get some videos up later.

Madelyn's favorite ride was "It's a small world" and she would get up and start dancing and point to all the fun things. It was so fun to see her so excited.

Madelyn is clapping for herself after stacking her fruit at the restaurant that night. haha!
Day 3: We started the day with a big yummy breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. The food is awesome and the kids love all the characters that come around to our table. It was nice that it wasn't very busy so we got to see a lot of fun characters. :) Madelyn still wasn't so sure of them though!

We rode the monorail into the park and then spent a few more hours with the Brown's until we had to say our good-byes. We had a great trip and we will be returning this year sometime to get our money's worth out of our season passes! Yay!!

Zach is 6!!

This boy is growing up way too fast! On December 31st, Zach turned 6. I can't believe how quickly another year just flies by and we are doing Christmas and New Years and birthday all over again! Seriously it feels like yesterday he was turning 5! I am feeling a little sad with how fast these kids grow up! Zach is such a good boy and even though he may have a little more energy than I can handle sometimes he really is a good kid and wants to do what is right. He loves his little sisters and loves to be the big brother. He is in Kindergarten and doing awesome with his reading and writing skills and his new skills in math. He loves to tell time and add and subtract things and he loves to play any kind of sports that anyone will play with him. We found him to be quite the soccer player this year and he is very excited to start T-ball soon in February! We absolutely love this boy and the kind heart that he has and fun loving personality and energy that he brings into our home! Happy Birthday Zach!! We love you so much!!!

Zach woke up and got his favorite breakfast of Cinnamon rolls. I then surprised him and took the kids to Bounce U for fun and afterwards we had lunch at ChickfilA. That afternoon Zach opened his presents from us and Mema and Grandpa. Thanks Mema and Grandpa for the new books and Star Wars Leapster game.
We got him this really cool magnetic marble roller coaster thing that plays to music and a Magnext set to add to the one he has. He was pretty excited to set it up!
That night we went to Cold Stone to celebrate Zach's birthday as a family since on Saturday we were doing the party and cake with everyone else.

Madelyn enjoyed a little of everyone's ice cream!

On Saturday we had the actual birthday party where we went Bowling! We let Zach choose and invite only four friends, Ryan, Dillon, Bryant, and Landon and cousins Millie and Justin Hinson and Justin and Jordan Capell too! Thanks Grandma Stacy and Auntie Sheila for driving all the way here so early on a Saturday morning!! The kids seemed to really have a fun time and after the bowling we had cupcakes and opened presents.

The girls- Kali and Millie.

The boys- Jordan, Justin, Bryant, Dillon, Landon, Zach, Ryan, and Justin.
Madelyn loves her Auntie Sheila!

Zach got some pretty cool games and toys! Thanks friends and family!!

And, I'll leave you with this...the final scoreboard of my bowling game with Millie, Kali, Justin, Sheila and Mark. Let's just say it was my best game EVER! and I am a little proud of it. You can't see Mark's score but just so you know mine was higher! hehe! Love you babe! So here you go... This is for you Dad!!

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year and we hope all of our family and friends did too! Christmas Eve was a quiet one this year as we stayed home and had an awesome steak and shrimp dinner with just us and the kids. We later opened up the traditional Christmas Eve pajamas and slippers. The kids LOVED their new jammies and couldn't wait to put them on! Thanks Mema for the new jammies! We then headed over to the Hinson's to have a short Christmas message and act out the nativity and exchange Christmas gifts with them. We had a quick visit with the Hinson's because they had just brought home their brand new baby Noah from the hospital and Mommy Kristin and baby needed to rest. BUT, not until after we enjoyed our YUMMY Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! Thanks to Kristin and Neal for that heavenly treat!!

Millie was Mary, Zach as Joseph and Kali was our perfect little "Angel" .
As you can see, our kiddos just LOVE their new baby cousin Noah. Even Madelyn was fascinated with him! She didn't care about gifts or nativity or dessert...she just wanted to look at and touch baby Noah. She was SOO curious. It was really cute!

Zach and Kali love to play their new games!
How special it was to have a brand new baby around for Christmas. Noah was the hit of the night. We love our new baby cousin!
Christmas morning ~~Look what SANTA brought!! Kali and Zach were very excited to find their new bikes from Santa.
Madelyn was more excited about the slinkies in her stocking !
Zach's new Razor RipRider 360! It seriously was the hit of the whole day. Adults up to 150 lbs. can ride it! Let's just say I got on and tried of few tricks myself!
Kali's new big Barbie bike that she has been begging for! She also got a princess Belle doll to add to her collection.

This year we had Zach and Kali do a gift exchange with each other and we took them to the dollar store. They both actually got so into it. It was a little tricky not letting the other see their gifts but it worked out and they seemed to be very excited about giving their presents to each other. We were trying to work on the whole GIVING thing. :) This will definitely be a new tradition for the future years.
My homemade mug made for especially for me by Kali!

After we did our Christmas morning at home we then packed up and headed down to Sheila and Jeff's in Modesto to do Christmas with the whole Stacy family. I didn't get as many pictures here of everyone as I wished I had but here are some. We had a great time with everyone at Sheila and Jeff's new home!!

Uncle Jeremy brought some really awesome gifts this year for the boys! They were loving their new remote control trucks! Thanks Uncle Jeremy!
Madelyn loves her Uncle Jeremy. She was at his side most of the time helping him open his gifts and playing with his dog Tank.
Playing with Tank in his kennel. Jordan was loving him too!

So there you have it. Sorry I didn't get many pics of everyone at Sheila's but you can always check out the Capell Clan blog for more pics. Sheila got some great pics! We really had a nice Christmas this year celebrating with those we love so much and are so grateful to live close to so much family. We of course missed our family that weren't here with us but we want them to know how much we do love and miss you all!! We are so grateful for all that we are blessed with and especially for this season and time we get to reflect on the birth and atonement of our Savior. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
I'll leave you with a little video of me on the crazy Rip Rider!
